Italy - 2 Lire Fascist 1927 over 23?

I hope the inset detail of the date will show enough to make a determination if this is just a common 1923 with a bunged up date (small wire fragment struck through) or a rare 1927 struck over an 1923. I suspect the former, in which case I paid too much and may return it. Helpful opinions welcome!
