This is a second example here in the Moneta Museum, the 1924 has a "closed 2" as opposed to the first year issue of 1922. It's also a much smaller issue, but 4 of the 13 years of issue were struck in great numbers. This coin features the allegorical figure of 'Italia' holding a Winged Victory. The Shield of Savoy graces the reverse with the words "BVONO Da L. 1" meaning 'Good for One Lire.' It was designed by Romagnoli and A.S. Motti.
