This medal was prepared by famed medalist Karl Goetz. It was issued to celebrate President Paul von Hindenburg's 80th birthday. The reverse has the legend Reiches Treuster Diener Deutschen (The German Reich's Most Faithful servant). The medal was minted at the Munich Mint.
