Taiping Rebellion
Tai Ping Tian Guo 5 Cash cast 1856-60
Rev: Sheng Bao above & below
Diam: 32.5mm, 7.9g
Hartill 23.7
A bit on the small size compared with Hartill's illustration. Calligraphy not too bad on Obverse, reverse a bit blurry.
You don't get a $150+ coin for 99cents, but it fills a gap in the collection for now.
I have a slew of fake/questionable Taiping Rebellion pieces, hopefully those shown in the Tai P'ing area are OK. You probably want to move (copy) this entry to the Fake Cast area.
