Czechoslovakia - O. Spaniel - 1981

Centennial of the Birth of Otakar Spaniel (1881 - 1955) he was a design sculptor and artist of many coins of Czechoslovakia. I like his iconic designs and this is why he's here in the Museum along with a number of his coins. Sometimes his designs are only shown with 'OS' or O. Spaniel. Only 115 k of these Unc. coins were struck (5k proof); over 56k of both strikes were melted.
